SKLO EXPRES SLOVAKIA, Ltd. (www.skloexpress.sk - non-English only) ranks among the foremost Slovak companies processing flat plate glass. The Company has been processing glass since its establishment. Its product line has developed gradually and can be broken into five basic groups:

1. The manufacture of bonded safety glass is located in plant 1 in Bratislava, 14, Galvaniho St. The maximum size of bonded glass that can be manufactured is 3,500 x 2,400 mm, and up to 80 mm thick with a maximum weight of a single piece not exceeding 500 kg. All types of basic bonded safety glass as specified by European, Czech or Slovak standards are manufactured and delivered compliant with their certificates; proofed against thrown articles, proofed against violent penetration and bullet-proofed.

2. The manufacture of isolating glass is located in plant 1 in Bratislava, 14, Galvaniho St. The production line allows a maximum size of glass of 2,500 x 3,500 mm, up to 74 mm thick. The technology also comprises installations for processing of glass with a soft metal-coated layer and for glass filling. A complete program of manufacturing isolating glass for structural glazing is available as well as the manufacture of isolating glass with grills of various types and colors inside.

3. The manufacture of tempered glass is located in plant 2 in Bratislava - Raèa, 8, Na pántoch. The production line is by Tamglas, Finland and lists among the best technologies for the production of tempered glass compliant with the ECE Regulation No 43 for vehicles. The conventional radiation tempering system provides for excellent planimetry of tempered glass and - at the same time - guarantees high quality and manufacturing capacity. Its desktop format 2,180 x 5,200 mm allows tempering glass 2,175 x 5,100 mm.

4. The manufacture of mirrors is located in plant 2 in Bratislava - Raèa, 8, Na pántoch. The technology process used for manufacturing mirrors provides for compliance with the specified quality standards declaring the mirror as an article destined for further processing. The maximum size of mirrors manufactured is limited by the production band width of 1,630 mm up to 3,000 mm long.

5. The glass working is located in plant 2 in Bratislava - Raèa, 8, Na pántoch and is provided for by a whole series of installations. The basis is precision glass cutting of irregular shapes by a cutting line for glass formats 6,000 x 3,210 mm, up to 19 mm thick. The glass may be ground, polished, drilled, bevelled (including arcs) and laminated glass can be sawn. Processing of best quality and highest accuracy may be expected from an automatic grinder by Intermac, Italy. Glass working is an inevitable part of tempered glass but makes a separate group of products marketed to manufacturers of furniture and various interior accessories.

The Company owns certificates for the manufacture of bonded glass, isolating glass and tempered glass. The manufacturing processes and technology of manufacturing of certified products are regularly checked not only by national testing laboratories, guaranteeing an optimal production quality compliant with the certification, but primarily by the internal corporate system of quality assurance.

The production line in SKLO EXPRESS SLOVAKIA, Ltd. allows for complete, on-time deliveries to its clients meeting a wide scope of consumer requirements. Combining the manufacturing potentials of both plants allows a fast satisfaction of orders requiring a combination of products classified into the five basic groups of the Company production line.
