Robert Mangas, Homologation Engineer

After receiving a Biology degree from Albion College, Robert Mangas attended Michigan State University and was awarded a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1995.

Robert came to work for VCA in August of 1999 after several years in the field of design, analysis, and testing of automotive systems. His experience in safety structures, specifically seats and energy absorbent steering wheels, coupled with specific Type Approval training made him an ideal candidate to become VCA's lead engineer for the homologation of seat belts, seats, frontal impact, protective steering, and glazing.

He returns to Michigan State twice a year to deliver lectures to the senior class of undergraduate engineers.
