Home Page > Staff Profiles > Mark Rushton Mark Rushton, Homologation EngineerMark studied Mechanical Engineering at Portsmouth Polytechnic and was awarded a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1991. After qualifying, Mark joined the British Department of Transport and embarked on a Monitored Professional Development programme. This gave him insight and experience in a multitude of transportation-related areas from policy making through to roadside enforcement making him well suited to a career in Type Approval. In 1994 he joined VCA at the Bristol office, transferring to the US office in 1995. In 1998 Mark was registered as a Chartered Engineer with the British Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Mark is the US office Lead Engineer on a variety of safety subjects including braking systems, lighting, electromagnetic compatibility, interior fittings and exterior projections.
